Drama as Tenant Gives Birth After Refusing Rent Payment Due to Affair with Landlord

A single mother has reportedly given birth to a baby boy, a year after being embroiled in a controversial rent scandal involving her landlord. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

The drama first surfaced on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) through a post by user @Temileyii_, who narrated how the tenant, a single mother, had an affair with her landlord and later refused to pay rent.

According to the viral post, the landlady demanded that the tenant pay her outstanding rent or vacate the premises. However, in a twist, the landlord allegedly secretly transferred the rent money to the tenant, who then paid it back and presented a receipt to avoid eviction.

When the landlady discovered this scheme, she insisted that the tenant must leave, claiming that the house was jointly built with her husband’s hard work. The tenant, however, maintained her stance, arguing that as long as she provided a receipt, the source of the funds was irrelevant.

The original post read:

“Landlord don sleep with single mother tenant, SM no wan pay house rent… Landlady get to know of it, she insist the money must be paid by weekend… Landlord secretly transfers the bills to SM to send back with receipt… Landlady find out and insists SM must leave… SM said as long as she can tender receipt, how she got it no concern landlady.”

The situation reportedly led to constant clashes between the landlord and his wife, with heated arguments often breaking out in the compound.

Now, a year later, @Temileyii_ returned with an update:

“Congratulations, we welcome a baby boy.”

The news has sparked fresh reactions online, with users sharing mixed opinions:

  • @Akorede_lola: “I’m not sure there will be peace in that house.”

  • @TinaOsagie247: “Please when is naming ceremony? At least they will give us rice na.”

  • @MariamOmoAkin01: “Where’s the location in Amuloko? I stay at Olunloyo.”

  • @Bekkybabe53: “In that same compound 🤭😂😂😂 Congratulations to SM o and LL.”

As the story continues to trend, many are questioning the future of the living arrangement and the relationship between the landlord, his wife, and the new mother.
