A new twist has emerged in the ongoing saga surrounding the late singer Mohbad, as his father, Joseph Aloba, has reportedly taken Naira Marley to court over an alleged ₦30 million failed promise. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

According to viral reports by popular entertainment blogger Cutie Juls, Naira Marley allegedly promised Aloba the sum in exchange for his public support amid the intense backlash and investigation into Mohbad’s tragic death in 2023.

Cutie Juls claims the promise influenced Aloba to shift blame toward his daughter-in-law, Olawunmi, and refrain from further attacking Naira Marley’s public image.

However, after Naira Marley’s acquittal in the assault-related cases tied to Mohbad, Aloba allegedly contacted him for the agreed sum. When Naira Marley failed to fulfill the alleged agreement, Aloba reportedly filed a lawsuit against the singer.

Yet, in a shocking development, the court dismissed the case, leaving Joseph Aloba empty-handed and fueling public anger once again over perceived injustices in the case.
