“I’ve Been Single for Years” – Timini Egbuson Shuts Down Womanizer Rumors

Nollywood heartthrob Timini Egbuson has set the record straight about his romantic life, dismissing widespread rumors that he’s a serial womanizer. During a candid conversation on The Culture League podcast with Super Eagles’ Victor Boniface and comedian Bovi, the 38-year-old actor revealed he’s actually been single for nearly three years – and his demanding career is to blame. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

“Nollywood Leaves No Room for Playboy Lifestyle”

Egbuson explained that his packed schedule makes dating, let alone juggling multiple relationships, nearly impossible:

“People assume I’m a womanizer, but I’m not. For the past two to three years, Nollywood has taken over my life so much that there’s no room—unless you’re completely unserious. Between being on set all day and coming home exhausted by 11 pm, when would I even have time to chat up women? I don’t have the capacity for that. I’m not ‘out there’ like people think.”

Unbothered by the “Bad Boy” Image

Despite the misconceptions, Egbuson admitted he finds the playboy stereotype more amusing than annoying. Known for his charming on-screen roles, the actor acknowledged that his persona might fuel assumptions—but reality is far tamer.

A Leading Man Focused on His Craft

With starring roles in hits like Elevator Baby and Breaded Life, Egbuson has solidified his place as one of Nollywood’s most bankable leading men. His revelation highlights the sacrifices behind the glamour—including a love life that’s been on pause for career growth.

So, is Timini ready to mingle again? For now, it seems his focus remains on lights, camera, and action—not romance.
