Leaked Audio: K1 De Ultimate Allegedly Threatens ValueJet Owner Over Airport Incident
A leaked audio recording making the rounds on social media has allegedly captured Nigerian Fuji legend K1 De Ultimate threatening the owner of ValueJet airline, Kunle Soname, following an altercation at an airport.
The controversy stems from a recent viral video showing K1 attempting to stop a ValueJet flight from taking off. In the newly surfaced audio, the veteran musician recounted his version of events, claiming airline staff stopped him from boarding because he was carrying a personal flask of water, which he said he needed to take “every few moments” due to his health. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
K1 insisted he had explained the situation, urging staff not to make it “a national issue.” However, he alleged that the confrontation escalated when one staff member was instructed not to let him board.
“If that’s the way you want it, then nobody’s going in. How can you embarrass me? My name is Wasiu Ayinde, nobody does that with me and gets away with it. I didn’t bypass the queue, I didn’t jump the line. Now Soname will feel me in his business,” K1 was heard saying in the audio.
The veteran artiste further declared he would never fly with the airline again.
The incident has sparked mixed reactions online:
-
@Soulmedika: “He will not do this on international flights. Water is available on board, you can request as much as you want.”
-
@Asarailu_: “If this man gets away with this, Nigeria is officially an oligarchy. People close to government can now do whatever they want.”
-
@purity26258747: “Recording someone’s call and posting it online is also a crime now.”
-
@Shina_Ayomi_: “Threatening an aviation business is a matter of national security and can be considered terrorism.”
As of now, neither K1 De Ultimate nor ValueJet has released an official statement addressing the leaked audio.
