Oriyomi Hamzat Apologizes to Naira Marley, Lifts Ban on Marlian Records Songs at Agidigbo FM
Popular broadcaster Oriyomi Hamzat has officially tendered an apology to Nigerian singer Naira Marley, announcing that his radio station, Agidigbo FM, will once again play songs from Marlian Records after a two-year ban. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
Recall that in September 2024, the broadcaster had placed a ban on all Marlian Records music following the death of Naira Marley’s former signee, Mohbad. At the time, Naira Marley and his associates were heavily accused of being involved in the singer’s tragic passing.
However, after his vindication, Oriyomi Hamzat admitted he was wrong to have judged the singer prematurely. He expressed regret over the ban and confirmed that Naira Marley’s songs, along with other Marlian Records tracks, will now be played again on Agidigbo FM.
