VeryDarkMan Pledges ₦10M for Evidence in Mohbad’s Assault Case — Offers ₦2M to Eyewitnesses

Controversial activist and social media critic VeryDarkMan has reignited the call for justice in the case of late Nigerian singer Mohbad, offering a combined ₦12 million reward in exchange for crucial information and eyewitness testimony. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

Mohbad, born Ilerioluwa Aloba, died under suspicious circumstances on September 12, 2023, triggering national outrage and widespread demands for accountability. Despite multiple court sessions and an ongoing investigation, clarity has remained elusive.

💰 ₦10M for Missing Footage, ₦2M for Eyewitness Testimony

In a viral Instagram post, VeryDarkMan announced a ₦10 million bounty for any unreleased or extended video clips showing the infamous incident where Mohbad and Zlatan Ibile were seen in wheelchairs on a music video set — a moment that turned chaotic with the arrival of show promoter Sam Larry and his associates.

He also offered a separate ₦2 million reward to any of the women seen in the footage holding the wheelchair if they agree to sit for an interview.

“I want all witnesses. I am carrying out my private investigation and spending my own money,” he declared. “They can’t cover this case. Ratel no need crowd or likes — Ratel needs justice.”

🔍 Private Justice Campaign Intensifies

VeryDarkMan’s post indicates his frustration with the slow legal process and the perceived attempts to cover up critical evidence. His renewed campaign seems determined to gather first-hand accounts and raw footage that could shine new light on Mohbad’s final months and the alleged bullying he endured.

This latest move is a bold step in citizen-led activism, using both social media reach and financial incentives to challenge silence and push for transparency.

🗣 Public Reaction Mixed

While many praised his bravery, others criticized him for dramatizing the tragedy. But the outspoken critic was unapologetic:

“F*** y’all emotions. I no really send una… The real justice for Mohbad starts now.”

📌 Why It Matters

Mohbad’s death touched millions across Nigeria and the diaspora, especially as videos of him being harassed surfaced shortly after his passing. VeryDarkMan’s campaign seeks to bring those responsible to justice, even if it means going beyond conventional investigative channels.
