The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has released his prophecies for 2026, offering renewed hope to millions of Nigerians amid economic hardship and rising migration. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

In a viral video circulating across social media platforms, Pastor Adeboye declared that hunger in Nigeria will reduce in 2026, while the popular “japa” trend — the mass emigration of Nigerians seeking better opportunities abroad — will begin to reverse.

According to the revered cleric, the coming year will mark a turning point for the nation, with gradual improvements in economic conditions and quality of life.

“There will be a reduction of hunger this year, and japa will begin to reverse,” Pastor Adeboye stated.

Prophecy Targets Nigeria’s Biggest Struggles

The prophecy directly addresses two of Nigeria’s most pressing challenges:

  • Worsening food insecurity

  • Large-scale migration of young professionals and skilled workers

Pastor Adeboye expressed confidence that economic pressure on citizens would ease, creating renewed hope and stability across the country.

In a notable declaration, the RCCG leader also prophesied that Nigerians living abroad would begin to return home, citing improved opportunities, better prospects, and a more favourable national outlook.

The statement has sparked wide reactions online, with many Nigerians expressing cautious optimism, while others urged government authorities to complement such hopeful declarations with concrete policies.

While supporters praised the prophecy as uplifting and timely, some Nigerians emphasized the need for tangible economic reforms to make the prediction a reality. Nonetheless, the message has resonated strongly among citizens yearning for relief from hardship.
