Land Dispute: Police Arrest 7 Over Murder of Lagos Engineer, Employer Cries Foul Play

Eyes Of Lagos reports,
The incident, reportedly stemming from an ongoing land dispute, has now sparked allegations of attempted cover-up by powerful interests.
Employer Alleges Attempt to Pervert Justice
Speaking to journalists in Ikeja, the deceased’s employer, Alhaji Akeem Osuolale, Chairman of Nigercat Nigeria Group of Companies, raised alarm over alleged interference in the investigation, claiming that some high-ranking police officers were pressuring investigators to release the suspects.
“I commend the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Kayode Egbetokun, and CSP Oyewale for arresting seven suspects linked to my engineer’s murder,” Osuolale stated.
“But we are worried because in the past, some of these same killers were arrested and immediately released from Alausa and FCID, while our workers were left to suffer behind bars.”
Osuolale added that the same group had repeatedly threatened his life and that of his staff, claiming they have police protection.
“They openly bragged that they control the police. They stationed over 25 armed thugs who murdered my engineer,” he said.
Call for Government Intervention
The businessman made a passionate appeal to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, urging him to intervene and ensure justice is served in the matter.
“I am calling on Governor Sanwo-Olu to protect law-abiding citizens and ensure those behind this heinous act face the full wrath of the law,” he said.
