An old video of Nollywood actress Judy Austin denying claims that she began a relationship with actor Yul Edochie while still married to her former husband has resurfaced online.
The video, which has been making rounds on social media, comes amid renewed allegations from her ex-husband, Mr Obasi, who recently claimed that Judy and Yul were involved while their marriage was still intact.
In the resurfaced clip, Judy firmly denied the allegations, describing them as false and insisting that her previous marriage had already ended before she met Yul Edochie.
According to the actress, her marriage to her former husband ended in March 2013 and she only met Yul several years later.
She maintained that reports suggesting otherwise were fabricated and challenged anyone with contrary evidence to present it.
Addressing the issue, Judy said:
“The obvious question that has been flying around is, were you in your previous marriage when you met Yul Edochie? And the answer is no. That is the fattest lie ever told about me on social media.
“And I’m going to elaborate more. My previous marriage ended in March 2013 and I saw Yul Edochie for the very first time years after my first marriage ended. So anyone saying otherwise is plainly lying.”
The actress further stated that she never met or saw Yul Edochie while she was still married to her former husband. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
She added:
“If I’m lying, if I saw Yul while in that marriage, if I saw Yul with my eyes while I was still answering someone else’s name, let all the curses and insults that people have been heaping on me happen to me a billion times over.
“But if for any reason I did not see Yul with my eyes until years after my first marriage, let all the curses go back to the people laying them a billion times over.”
The resurfaced video has sparked fresh debate online, with social media users expressing mixed reactions over the controversy.
While some defended Judy Austin and argued that her statement should be respected, others pointed to the allegations made by her former husband and called for more clarity on the matter.
